Tribute Labs is building the next evolution of online coordination. We began by creating the legal and technical foundations for DAOs, giving internet‑native communities the tools to invest and operate together.
Today, we’re evolving to create more autonomous communities with ADIN, an AI‑native venture platform where intelligent agents augment how communities source, analyze, and deploy capital, inside venture and far beyond it.
2017 — The Beginning
We started in New York building OpenLaw, a blockchain protocol for creating and executing legal agreements.
2019 — Breaking New Ground
Using OpenLaw's technology stack, we starting focusing on Decentralize Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and launched The LAO, the first for-profit, limited-liability DAO in the United States. It created a legal pathway that much of the DAO world still follows today.
2020 — Building Community
Flamingo DAO launched in October as our first major experiment in collective art investing. The community coordinated significant capital and proved groups could make investment decisions together. We starting building more communities, and in total coordinated over $200M in assets.
2022 — New Name, Same Mission
OpenLaw became Tribute Labs. The rebrand reflected our focus on building and operating venture capital DAOs at scale.
2022 — Getting Noticed
Coverage in Forbes, The New Yorker, Bloomberg, TIME, Financial Times and Vogue Business. We also received the New York Law Journal Innovation Award.
2024 — The Next Evolution
As artificial intelligence became more accessible, we started building at the intersection of AI agents and autonomous organizations, exploring how intelligent systems could enhance coordination of digital organization and transform venture capital.
2025 — ADIN Goes Live
We launched ADIN (Autonomous Deal Infrastructure Network), applying everything we learned about coordination and community to venture capital. The platform uses AI to accelerate due diligence and connect a global network of investors and operators.
Aaron Wright joins 11AM w/ Seed Club to discuss how ADIN scales through scouts, how AI is reshaping diligence, and why venture is moving toward faster, algorithmic capital—and what that means for traditional fund models.

WIRED profiles ADIN and traces how AI agents compress weeks of diligence into minutes, framing a moneyball moment for venture—and what faster, agent-driven workflows could mean for investors and funds.

Priyanka Desai joins Boys Club to discuss ADIN, autonomous organizations, and how communities coordinate capital with AI-native tooling—plus what builders and funds should expect as agentic workflows scale.
Daniel Keller joins 11AM w/ Seed Club to cover Metropolis DAO and Tribute Labs, how DAO tooling is maturing for real operations, and where on-chain coordination meets institutional venture expectations.
We are always looking for people who are energized by hard problems and uncomfortable with how things have always been done. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you at hi@tributelabs.xyz.
